General Safety

Maintaining safety in the dugout is important for everyone. There are dugout rules that should be reviewed by all players and families. Things to keep in mind:
  • No climbing
  • Please keep the dugout gates closed during the game
  • Players are not allowed to throw baseballs or swing bats for warmup outside the dugout
  • Players may not swing bats inside the dugout (encourage purchase of a bat holder)
  • Players should not eat in the dugout without the coach's approval due to allergies
  • Balls may not be thrown in the dugout
A full first aid kit is in the concession stand. Additionally, the League keeps a list of League parents who are doctors and/or nurses, just in case there is an emergency and we need help before EMS can get there. If you fall into this category, please consider completing the Medical Personnel Form.

Additional ways to keep the dugout safe, especially for younger players, is to purchase baskets or an organizer for your players' items. Dollar Tree can be your friend for a perfect size basket that will hold those Rookie Ball and Single A helmets, gloves, drinks, etc.
